FIELD TRIP TO THE ZOO!
Today we are going to be checking out a ton of cool wildlife thanks to the San Diego Zoo live cams. Let’s see how our animal friends are doing!
Don’t forget to click the “learn about the animal” link at the bottom of each page for more information!
And finally, the archived footage from the Panda Cam:
The San Diego Zoo’s two pandas, 27-year-old Bai Yun and her son, 6-year-old Xiao Liwu, have recently been returned to their ancestral homeland of China and this footage is from a few months ago.
Remember to check throughout the day to catch the animals engaging in different activities, like playing, eating, sleeping, or socializing.
Here are some fun animal activities to try as well!

Once you have visited the virtual zoo, it is important to take some time to reflect on what we saw there.
What were some interesting animal behaviors that you saw today?
What do the enclosures need to make the animals comfortable? Think about climate, food, play, space, and interactions with other animals (including humans)!
What might the animals be missing by not being in the wild?
Enjoy your trip to the zoo and see you next week!
