Field Trip to the Money Museum:
Today we are taking a trip to the Money Museum!
Start with an interactive guided tour of the museum led by Monte the Squirrel. Click on a picture of Monte to move through the museum and click on acorns to play games! Extra points if you can find the room with the Money Tree!
Afterwards play Escape from the Barter Islands - an online game that teaches about the barter system and the value of currency. Players must help Robbie, who’s stranded on the Barter Islands, purchase a sail for his boat and return home by trading coconuts, bananas, and more!
For younger kids, watch this short video that introduces the basics of US currency and practices some basic math.
Finally, 4th and 5th graders can tune in on Zoom at 4:00 pm using this link to join Chloe for her most challenging escape room yet - Bank Heist! Provided by Expedition Escape - Get ready to crack the codes and unlock safes! There’s a time limit of 40 minutes so we have to work together to solve the clues and answer the riddles!
